It's Time to Rethink about Environment

Need Our Concerns To the Life of Nature!

Need to give more concern to the work of our countries researchers. As we are going through very bad weather ever its time to rethink environmental changes. My last visit to Dhaka was very uncomfortable with flooded streets due to the blockage of the drainage system in Dhaka city. The main culprit for this miserable situation was polythene in a word. Polythene is not biodegradable and is largely to blame for the filling up of canals and drainage.

Although Bangladesh banned the use of polythene its use is being widespread day by day. we are generating around 1,700 tonnes of plastic waste daily and the annually importing of plastic raw materials costs us Tk 2,000 crore!

But we should be happy to know that our scientist from the Bangladesh jute corporation was discovered a synthesized polymer from jute fiber in 2012.
It can carry about one and a half times the load of a traditional polythene bag while being environmentally friendly and also biodegradable.

But they couldn't go to bulk production for less awareness and less publicity. Bangladesh government should vigorously promote this new invention.
